What is the Partners Program?

Tasmanians have already achieved a lot in pursuit of their vision for 2020. The Tasmania Together Partners Program makes it easier for community groups, businesses and others to get involved with the Progress Board, to work together to achieve specific Tasmania Together goals and benchmarks.

It is a formal agreement that sets out what each partner will do to contribute to the achievement of Tasmania Together and what the Board will do.

The Program will also help partners to speak with some authority on the benchmarks, and give the Board a clearer picture of the issues to be overcome and alliances to be developed to achieve particular benchmarks.

What do you get out of becoming a Partner?

Benefits to the Partner Organisations could include:

  • Publicity to raise the profile of the organisation or promote its activities in the community at large.
  • Networking – improved inter-community networking as well as networking with relevant government agencies and the business community.
  • Starting point for planning in a State-wide context.
  • Access to new pools of expertise.
  • Recognition – ensuring that the role of the organisation, in working towards the benchmark, gets the public recognition it deserves.
  • Use of the Tasmania Together logo.
  • Reported progress towards the achievement of the relevant benchmark.

Benefits to the Tasmania Together Progress Board:

  • Increased level of public awareness and understanding of Tasmania Together.
  • Increased commitment to Tasmania Together and interest in its progress.
  • The development of cooperative and collaborative cross-sectoral activity and the potential formation of Coalitions of Interest.
  • Improved capacity for the Tasmania Together Progress Board to report progress on particular benchmarks.
