Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards

If you know or are a young person between the ages of 14-28, who is making a valuable contribution in one of the nine category areas then here is your chance to put in a nomination. The Awards aim to recognise Tasmania’s young achievers who are making a difference in their communities.

Nominations will be sought throughout Tasmania until the 9th December in the following categories:

Submission to State Budget Community Consultation

Carers Tasmania has prepared a submission to the Government, with recommendations for consideration as part of the State Budget for 2010-11.

All programs and service suggestions are based on principles of early intervention and prevention, leading to improved outcomes for carers, especially in areas of health, wellbeing and social inclusion.

Tasmanian Early Years Foundation

Recently, the Tasmanian Early Years Foundation released its Outcomes Framework - a report into the state of Tasmanian children.  The Framework brings to the community a way to monitor the health and wellbeing of our young children at a critical period in their lives. 

The Outcomes Framework report is also an important initiative as part of the foundation's partnership with Tasmania Together.
